Fruiting Bodies, 2023

Looping short film Fruiting Bodies and accompanying solo gallery show by Little Kingdoms hosted by Slice of Life Gallery in Vancouver, Canada.

The show consisted of the projected short film, lenticular prints, flipbooks, microscopic slides, animations in digital frames, a painted mural, t-shirts, tote bags, and stickers.

A fruiting body is the multicellular structure of an organism on which spore-producing structures are born. I explored the connection between fruiting bodies found within all the taxonomic kingdoms of life. All the colour you see in the film are microscopic textures of fruit I put under my digital microscope!
